Best Dead by Daylight Ken Kaneki perk builds

Ken Kaneki is a versatile killer that can run quite a lot of perk builds in Dead by Daylight. Depending on your playstyle, here are some perk builds that you should try out with The Ghoul:

General perk build

  • Barbecue and Chilli
  • Lethal Pursuer
  • Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance
  • Surge

This is a stock-standard perk build that allows Ken Kaneki to have a strong start to the match, with Lethal Pursuer, and frequently keep tabs on survivors thanks to Barbecue and Chilli.

Surge and Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance will serve as great tools to stall out the game by reducing generator progress. This is a solid perk setup for players that are looking to get familiar with Ken Kaneki’s powers in Dead by Daylight.

Aura-reading perk build

  • Nowhere to Hide
  • Barbecue and Chilli
  • Lethal Pursuer
  • Surge/No Way Out

Ken Kaneki has great innate mobility. This makes him a great utilizer of aura-reading builds to track down survivors and close the gap quickly. Therefore, Lethal Pursuer is an absolute must in this perk build.

Combining this with Barbecue and Chilli, Nowhere to Hide, and the Rize’s Glasses add-on lets you have wall-hacks for days. You can finish thhis build off with a safe generator slowdown perk like Surge or an endgame perk like No Way Out.

Endgame perk build

  • None Are Free
  • Bitter Murmur
  • Hex: No One Escapes Death
  • No Way Out

Speaking of endgame perks, Ken Kaneki can also thrive in the Dead by Daylight endgame with a strong build revolving around his personal perk, None Are Free. Combining this perk with No Way Out, Bitter Murmur and NOED can turn Ken into an absolute monster once all generators are done.

While endgame builds are naturally high-risk, as it leaves you weak for the majority of the trial, The Ghoul’s strong base kit can alleviate some of these issues and allow you to thrive in the endgame as long as you have hooked survivors a couple of times.

Hex perk build

  • Hex: Undying
  • Hex: Pentimento
  • Hex: Ruin
  • Hex: No One Escapes Death

Since Ken Kaneki is a highly mobile killer in Dead by Daylight, he is a very strong user of Hex based builds. He can constantly patrol Hex totems to ensure the debuffs stay active, while also having the chance to catch survivors in the act of cleansing totems.

Pentimento and Undying are an absolute must in this setup as they provide invaluable effects. Ruin is a good generator slowdown perk while NOED can ensure you a safety net in the endgame.

Best Dead by Daylight Ken Kaneki add-ons

Ken Kaneki has a number of good add-ons in Dead by Daylight that enhance his Kagune Leap power in a variety of ways. Some of his best add-ons include:

  • Yamori’s Mask: A better version of Barbecue and Chili with the downside of being a pink add-on. This is Ken Kaneki’s best add-on and synergizes very well with his kit.
  • Fresh Coffee: A small movement boost when using your Kagune Leap may not seem like much. However, the effects will be quite noticeable over the duration of a match which makes it a safe add-on to run in any build.
  • Blood-Stained Handkerchief: Increasing the reach of Kagune Leap allows for longer traversal around the map. While the effect is miniscule, it has no drawbacks and is a nice bonus to bring along.
  • Iridescent Eye Patch: The Ghoul is one of the few killers with two strong pink add-ons. This add-on can be quite valuable in a chase while being in Enraged Mode, and can completely change the momentum of a trial in certain scenarios.
  • Red-Headed Centipede: This add-on can block important windows, while vaulting over them in Enraged Mode, like the one in Killer Shack to make loops much more manageable.
  • Rize’s Glasses: The Ghoul will often go into Enraged Mode during a trial. Therefore, having free wall-hacks for eight seconds whenever healthy survivors are repairing generators is great information.
  • Hide’s Headphones: Using this add-on can cause a lot of panic for inexperienced survivors. While it is less effective against skilled survivors, it’s always nice to have the element of surprise that this add-on can provide.
